Tyne Canine · Reactive Rehab

Dog Reactivity
Specialists.

Walking at stupid o’clock to avoid other dogs. Crossing the road with your heart racing. Getting home stressed, embarrassed and wondering why you even bothered. You love your dog. You just want your life back.

You’re not the only one

Love your dog.
Dread the walk?

You don’t need another person telling you to “just relax”. You need someone to understand what’s happening, explain the next steps and coach you through them.

  • Walking early or late to avoid other dogs.
  • Scanning every corner instead of enjoying being out.
  • Feeling embarrassed, frustrated or out of options.
  • Missing the places you wanted to take your dog.

A client’s experience

“I can walk in public at any time I want throughout the day.”

Georgia, Ace’s owner

For Georgia, the difference was being able to go to the park, visit the beach and enjoy more freedom with Ace.

Before training

Walks organised around avoiding triggers. Limited places to go. Stress that carried on after the walk was over.

What changed for Georgia

More choice about when and where to walk, more confidence and a calmer life at home.

Dave, founder and trainer at Tyne Canine, with a dog

Meet your trainer

I’m Dave.
Your trainer, and a dog lover who gets it.

I built Tyne Canine to help owners with the problems that affect everyday life: the walks you avoid, the places you stop going and the stress of wondering what will happen next.

My job is to explain the training, coach you through it and help you understand what to do when you’re back at home holding the lead.

We start with an honest conversation about your dog, your expectations and the work involved.

Your questions, answered

Still wondering
if this is for you?

You’ve got questions. Let’s get them out in the open.

We’ve already tried training. Why try again?

Tell us what changed, what didn’t and where you’re stuck. We’ll explain our approach before you decide whether it’s right for you.

What if my dog is the worst one there?

You don’t need to arrive with a dog that already copes. Tell us the full picture so we can assess suitability.

My dog reacts to people too. Is this just for dog reactivity?

Include reactions to people, visitors and other triggers in your application. We’ll discuss what support your dog needs on the call.

My dog has bitten. Can I still apply?

Yes. Be open about what happened and any injuries. We need that history to discuss a suitable, safe starting point.

We rescued our dog and don’t know their history. Does that matter?

Share what you know and what you see now. You don’t need a complete history to start the conversation.

My partner thinks this will be another waste of money.

Bring their questions to the call. You should both understand the approach, commitment and goals before making a decision.

I can’t take a week off work. What are my options?

Choose the five-day intensive or the three-weekend option. We’ll confirm the dates and session times so you can plan around work.

The goal

Enjoy your dog again.

Imagine heading out without planning every escape route. Going somewhere because you want to, not because nobody else will be there. More confidence. More freedom. A life you can enjoy together.

That’s what we’re working towards.
